Today, 12 years ago, Bob Dylan’s ‘Modern Times’ was at #1 on the US album chart. This was Dylan’s first album to reach this position since 1976’s Desire, 30 years prior. The artist became the oldest living musician to top the Billboard albums chart at age 65. Tony Bennett broke this record in 2011 at age 85 with his duets album. This record reached number one in other countries, including, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway and Switzerland.
