Elvis Presley (32) married Priscilla Beaulieu (21) today, 52 years ago. Presley, serving in the U.S. Armed Forces at the time, met Pricilla in 1959 when she was 14 years old. Their romance began when Beaulieu eventually followed Presley to the States when he got out of the army in 1960. She moved in with him into his Graceland mansion with her parent’s blessing. Eight years after they first met, they got married on May 1, 1967, at the Aladdin Hotel in Nevada, Las Vegas. Their daughter, Lisa Marie, was born that following year. The couple got divorced on October 9, 1973, only five years after their wedding ceremony. Although the marriage did not last, the two remained friends and raised their daughter together until his passing in 1977.
