Neil Young recently announced the release of his new live album, ‘Tuscaloosa’. The previously unreleased album made up a part of the singer’s tour with band Stray Gators and was originally recorded back in February 1973. The album, releases as a single CD and a three-sided vinyl album and its arrival can be expected on June 7. Standing at 11 tracks, the features material from ‘Time Fades Away’ and ‘Harvest’. Young and his team decided to leave out tracks ‘The Loner’ and ‘On The Way Home’ for reasons including tuning issues and the fact that it appears on too many other albums. The singer was quoted saying: “We don’t like to release a lot of songs on many albums, so ‘On The Way Home’ went by the wayside,” he explained. ‘The Loner’ was just not good enough. I still make those decisions because I am here on the planet. However, those two versions will be available in the archives for members to hear. I have no plans to release everything I have ever recorded. Some of it is just not good enough.”
