The Eels released their 12th studio album, “The Deconstruction”, on April 6, 2018, after frontman, E’s (Mark Oliver Everett), four-year breather. The album has been receiving positive reviews. The lead singer’s mellow tone with diverse orchestral influences is constantly present in the album.
With the use of choral background vocals, 60’s style drum beats and piercing, atmospheric electric guitar leads “The Deconstruction” offers a reflective perspective on life through a wide range of pop and rock styles.
The band’s frontman stated: “ These tracks may or may not inspire, rock, or not rock you. The world is going nuts. But if you look for it, there is still great beauty to be found. Sometimes you don’t even have to look for it. Other times you have to try to make it yourself. And then there are times you have to tear something apart to find something beautiful inside.”
The band has also announced the dates of their next world tour kicking off on the 28th of May, Pomona, CA.
