Prince died two years ago today. The renowned artist’s career spans over 6 decades, leaving behind hundreds of songs in multiple genres under his own name and pseudonyms.
Born in Minnesota as Prince Rogers Nelson in 1958, he would soon experience a career like no other and become known for his exhilarating stage presence, fashion sense and wide vocal range. The artist passed away suddenly on 21 April 2016 from an allegedly accidental fentanyl overdose. However, many have their suspicions regarding the circumstances of his passing. Dying at the age of 57, he was cremated after his autopsy which ruled his death as accidental.
Prince was inducted into the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame soon after his passing.
