The comedian Tim Heidecker recently teamed up with The War on Drugs in the Tower Theatre, Pennsylvania to perform a cover of Tom Petty’s ‘Straight Into Darkness’. They also played Heidecker’s Yellow River Boys track, ‘Hot Piss’. Petty was celebrated earlier this year when his hometown of Gainesville, Florida named a local park after the late artist. The ceremony was held on what would have been his 68th birthday. “Gainesville is an extraordinary place and if you listen to my dad’s music here, it has a different meaning,” the artist’s daughter, Adria Petty added.
