Today in 1965, The Rolling Stones were at No.1 with ‘Satisfaction’ resulting in the band’s 4th UK No.1 single. Keith Richards ran through a rough version of the riff he recorded in Florida, before falling asleep. When he listened to it again in the morning, the artist said, there was about two minutes of acoustic guitar before hearing him drop the pick and “then me snoring for the next forty minutes”. The song was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and produced by Andrew Loog Oldam.
